Basic Guide
What Is Blackjack and Why Is It Popular at petron99
Blackjack is a card game that has long been a top choice at casinos worldwide. The goal is simple — get a card value as close to 21 as possible without going over, while beating the dealer's hand. The combination of strategy, luck and quick decisions sets blackjack apart from other casino games that rely more purely on chance.
At petron99, blackjack is available in two main formats: live dealer with real-time cameras, and a digital version playable outside live schedules. Players can choose a table based on the betting limits that suit their budget — from casual tables through to higher-stakes tables for more experienced players.
One of the strengths of the petron99 platform is the ability to play on mobile devices. Players from across Malaysia — including many in Kuala Lumpur — regularly choose blackjack sessions on their phones after work hours, without needing to download any additional app.
| Term | Meaning |

Basic Strategy
A Smarter Approach to Playing
Unlike slots that rely entirely on a random number generator, blackjack gives players the power to influence the outcome of each round. petron99 players who take time to understand basic strategy will find a noticeable difference over the long run.
- Always Stand when your hand is worth 17 or more — the risk of Busting is too high to take another card.
- Double Down on a value of 10 or 11 when the dealer shows a weak card (2–6) — this is the best time to double your bet.
- Split two Aces or two 8s — this is a standard strategy supported by probability mathematics.
- Avoid buying Insurance unless you are skilled at card counting — in most situations, this side bet works against the average player.
- Manage your bankroll with discipline — set a loss limit and a win limit before sitting at the petron99 table.
